A Tuscan-Inspired Statement in Essendon

The client’s initial desire for this Essendon residence was for a strong, high-visual-impact statement pool. Inspired by a water feature they had observed in Tuscany, Italy, and sought a design that corresponded perfectly with the home’s existing Tuscan aesthetic. The requirement for this project was a Lap Pool that would be seamlessly integrated into the overall Tuscan inspired design.

Liquid Blue Pools constructed a unique project that flawlessly marries the home's aesthetic with contemporary luxury. This concrete Lap Pool is fully tiled with Bisazza glass mosaic tile, creating a luxurious and enduring finish. Liquid Blue Pools successfully incorporated the Tuscan style using travertine natural stone paving and bronze planter boxes, which flawlessly integrate the home with the outdoor space. 

The pool utilises the very latest automatic in-floor cleaning systems from Paramount, world’s leading in-floor cleaning system. The system is fully equipped with Pentair energy efficient pool equipment and automation, allowing for set and forget programming and hassle-free heating. Mineral sanitation ensures quality, detoxifying water year-round. Water and energy-saving features, such as an underground rainwater tank for automatic filling and solar heating, were also incorporated. The Spa Electrics multi-colour LED lights produce an iridescent glow at night.

The detailing of this pool is characterised by unique elements that required custom fabrication: such as an antique mirror on the feature wall, a mesmerising fibre optic sheer descent water feature, and elegant deck jets. Liquid Blue Pools created a water feature that seemed to mysteriously flow from the antiqued mirrored wall into the all-tile Bisazza glass interior pool. Ensuring all the colours and materials, such as the travertine paving and bronze planters, were layered to achieve an authentic, sophisticated aesthetic without becoming visually excessive was paramount while maintaining the required Lap Pool functionality.
