A Contemporary Courtyard Oasis in Brunswick

The client’s vision for this project was to incorporate a high-quality Plunge Pool / Courtyard Pool into their modest outdoor space. The overriding goal was for the area to function as a single, cohesive entertaining space by fully integrating the home, alfresco, and swimming pool, whilst maintaining an existing palm tree.

Liquid Blue Pools delivered a beautifully modern and private oasis, exemplifying how a small space can be transformed into a stylish, functional centerpiece. The design thoughtfully combines a blend of materials, with fully tiled Bisazza glass mosaic tiles covering the entire pool interior and extending up the feature wall, creating a unified look that can be admired from inside the home. The use of stone tiles on the pool surrounds complements the warm timber features of the alfresco area, while timber raised planters add warmth to the scene and beautifully frame the feature wall. The strategic layout is enhanced by bi-fold doors that facilitate a seamless connection between the home, the adjoining alfresco, and the pool, transforming three distinct zones into one generous entertaining area. A subtle but luxurious inclusion is the integrated seat within the pool, featuring built-in spa jets.

The site's unique characteristics necessitated meticulous planning and execution. Constructing the pool involved several complexities, including fitting the pool into a constricted space and right up to a boundary fence on a corner block. Furthermore, successfully building the pool around the existing palm tree without causing disruption required a pivotal solution. The team expertly navigated these site limitations by utilising compact precision diggers to maneuver around the tree and in the tight access areas.

Operationally, the pool is equipped with Pentair energy efficient pool equipment and integrated automation, ensuring effortless functionality. This includes Paramount world’s leading in-floor cleaning system. Furthermore, the mineral sanitation system is skin friendly and ensures exceptional water quality. Spa Electric LED lights provide a marvelous nighttime atmosphere. Through discerning design and precise execution, the strategic layout and sophisticated materials successfully transformed the modest space into a generous, award-worthy entertaining zone.
