A Multi-faceted Urban Oasis in Parkdale

The client's vision for this project was to create a Combination Pool & Spa that felt like a seamless, unhindered transition from indoors to outside. Their requirements were multifaceted: they needed a space for year-round relaxation and unwinding, with a length sufficient for exercise. The resulting project is a magnificent urban sanctuary, encompassing a Lap Pool, a Combination Pool & Spa, and an Acrylic Window Pool.

The team at Liquid Blue Pools epitomises design ingenuity by transforming this backyard into the ultimate urban sanctuary. The pool’s captivating shape ensures that it is generous in size without imposing on the outdoor space. The design starts wide at the house and tapers into a lap pool, perfect for exercising. The wide steps and seating area alongside the pool serve as the entry and lead to a bench seat where the homeowners can relax. The fully frameless glass fencing ensures the view remains unobstructed, preventing the area from feeling enclosed. A prominent and unique element is the spa, featuring three raised, clear acrylic walls and one fully-tiled feature wall, creating the perception of it floating on the water's surface. This ingenious use of tapering and the acrylic spa was key to including an expansive pool and spa on the property while preserving ample room for a grassed area and outdoor furnishings.

The entire interior of the pool and spa are surfaced with elegant Bisazza glass mosaic tile that gives the water a radiant sparkle which is further highlighted at night by Spa Electrics multi-coloured LED lighting, which is complemented by discreet garden spotlights, setting the mood for evening entertaining.

A suite of modern equipment ensures minimal maintenance. The system includes Paramount world’s leading in-floor cleaning system and Pentair energy efficient pool equipment. The remote automation system provides hassle-free control, allowing homeowners to control spa jets and heating. The mineral sanitation system ensures both pristine water quality and a captivating nighttime atmosphere, and being suitable for sensitive skin, it elevates the swimming experience.

The result is a magnificent urban oasis that is both a place for exercise and a tranquil space for relaxation. It is a harmonious and functional living area, with sliding glass doors providing an unobstructed view of the sparkling water from inside the home, facilitating an effortless indoor/outdoor entertaining experience.
